The fourth annual automotive summit, Egypt Automotive 2017, is set to kick off in conjunction with the 24th session of the AUTOTECH International Auto Aftermarket Trade Show. Egypt Automotive 2017 will be held through a strong partnership between Informa Exhibitions and Egypt Automotive company.
This year's summit focuses on the many changes in the Egyptian auto sector, following the decision to float the Egyptian pound on 3 November 2016, along with its subsequent economic repercussions. In addition, discussions will continue about the automotive industry’s strategy and the reasons behind its delay, as well as the problems arising from the strategy’s postponement. The discussions will include all parties and companies operating in the market.
The summit will discuss the investment opportunities available to the automotive industry in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), as well as its production requirements.
This will be discussed in conjunction to the impact of Egypt's trade agreements, such as the Brix and Mercosur, on the future of the automotive industry and the role of the private sector in the development of the mass transit system.
The conference includes workshops to discuss and analyse the impact of modern technology in reducing commercial fraud, especially in spare parts and production requirements.
Workshops will also be devoted to mechanisms for the auto sector to benefit from banking and non-banking services, especially enlisting companies on the Egyptian Exchange, increasing their sizes, and financing their expansion plans.
In addition, there will be a number of workshops on the development of maintenance systems, after-sales services, and the mechanisms of increasing exports in the feeding industry.
